Journalists barred from covering Saraki's Code of Conduct trial today

Journalists have been barred from covering the resumed hearing of the 13-count charge false asset declaration case against Senate President Bukola Saraki happening today October 21st. Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Danladi Umar, gave instructions to security personnel at the court to ensure that no camera is allowed into the court. Saraki is expected to be present at the hearing which is to commence by 10am.

During his screening at the senate yesterday, Ministerial nominee, Adebayo Shittu from Oyo state, said he will not like to comment much on Boko Haram and their activities because he still has a family to cater for. According to him, the sect members have in time past killed anyone who spoke openly against them and so he wanted to be careful.

This apparently did not sit well with former Aviation minister, Femi Fani Kayode who took to his Facebook page to slam Shittu. What he wrote after the cut..

Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina was a guest on AIT's programme Kakaaki yesterday October 1st where he spoke about Pres. Buhari's recent announcement that he will be overseeing the Ministry of Petroleum resources. Over 250 teenagers from 15 countries were in Seoul, South Korea to compete in the 13th annual Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (“SAGE”) World Cup tournament on August 6-9. SAGE was founded at California State University, Chico in 2002.The Korean Trade and Investment Association (KOTRA), part of the Korean Ministry and Trade and Industry, served as the host.
